Three students read theirs. After each: can the team prove that from the plan?
Prove it
- "It is delicious" cannot be proven.
- "It has four MyPlate groups for $8.70 a person" can.
- In fifteen minutes every team pitches for sixty seconds and the class votes.
- In my version of this lesson, one team wrote a jingle. Nobody has forgotten it.

- 12 minutes. Time your rehearsal.

- Sixty seconds. When the timer sounds, you stop.
- After each pitch, I ask the class one question: what was the cost per person?
- Listen. You will vote on fit, not on friends.

Gallery walk
- Three stations, two minutes each.
- Read the card first. Taste second.
- Say one kind and true thing to the station.

- Presenters stay home and answer questions with numbers from the plan.
Sharing food with everyone
- Read the allergen box before you taste.
- A portion without cheese is on the tray if you need it.
- Nobody has to taste. Everybody reads the card.

The vote

- The reason counts more than the tally.
- Every team already earned its rubric score. This is one class's opinion about fit.
