Reviews Lesson 5.14. Reviews Lesson 5.14 Day 1: the journey of one sweatshirt from Step 2 and the four things a person can actually do from Step 4. Round 1 uses the seven-card set from Handout 05.14 page 2 (eight cards counting WORN) in the order the teacher key lists them, and the feedback carries the key's three teaching points, that the sorting center comes before everything, which cards are the end of the road, and where the cracked-graphic shirt lands. It is a different chain from Farm to Fork's food chain and shares no cards with it. Round 2 sorts the concrete examples the lesson gives for each move, four bins, no invented examples. Use it as the Day 2 do now before the Consumer Comparison Task, or as the Lesson 5.15 opener, since the design brief asks which journey card the upcycle project skips. The end panel also lists the four fast fashion features, the three costs not on the tag, and the four questions to ask about any number, all from Handout 05.14, so the study list covers the whole day even though the game reviews two of its steps.

Where Clothes Go
Eight journey cards for one sweatshirt appear shuffled. Tap them into order: the three steps every garment takes first, then the five ways out. Then a move a person can make appears, and you tap its bin.
How to play
- The sorting center comes before everything, and most donated clothing is not handed directly to a neighbor.
- LANDFILL OR BURNED is the only true end. SHREDDED INTO FIBER and CUT INTO WIPING RAGS end the garment but not the material. SOLD ON THE FLOOR and BALED AND SOLD loop back to WORN.
- A shirt with a cracked graphic and a hole in it reaches CUT INTO WIPING RAGS or SHREDDED INTO FIBER first, or LANDFILL if it is in bad enough shape. It will not sell on the floor.
- No one of these fixes the system, and all four are inside a student's control this week.
Done
The ones to study:
Worth knowing by heart:
- The corrected path: WORN, then DONATION BIN OR THRIFT SHOP, then SORTING CENTER, then one of SOLD ON THE THRIFT SHOP FLOOR, BALED AND SOLD TO A DEALER, CUT INTO WIPING RAGS, SHREDDED INTO FIBER, or LANDFILL OR BURNED
- The four features of fast fashion: speed, volume, price, thin construction
- Three costs that are not on the price tag: labor, water, waste
- The four questions to ask about any number: who published it, what year is the data from, what exactly does it count, what does it not tell you
