Life Skills Arcade Middle school Family and Consumer Sciences, grades 6 to 8
Teacher note

Reviews Lesson 2.2. Reviews Lesson 2.2, both days: the trait, strength, interest distinction from the Day 1 finger vote (Round 1 uses the twelve statements from the teacher key) and the six interest types from the Day 2 quiz (Round 2 uses careers from the Part 3 sample lists). Use it as the do now of Lesson 2.3 before the one-pager, or as a three-minute warm-up on Lesson 2.21 before the cluster walk, since the posters use the same six letters. Settings: 12 items per round; grade 6 can play Round 1 only; the bins in Round 2 show the letter, the word, and the icon from slide 3 so an ELL student can sort by picture.

Six Letters

A statement appears. Tap it into Trait, Strength, or Interest. Then a career card appears, and you tap it into one of the six interest types, R, I, A, S, E, or C, each bin with its letter, word, and picture.
