Reviews Lesson 6.10. Reviews Lesson 6.10, the three forms and the five factors from Handout 06.10 Parts 1 and 2 and the teacher key. Play it as the Day 2 do now after the research cards are done, or before the Unit 6 test, since the comparison is assessed on the Cooking Methods Check item 12 and again on the test. The class agreement on food talk is printed on the start panel and should be read before the first round; no dish is ranked and no dish is called anything but its name. Round 1 feedback gives the region and the why-here line, which is the box students skip. Round 2 is the five factors, which is the assessed piece; a grade 6 class can play round 1 alone.

One Dish, Three Names
A dish picture appears. Tap its form: FILLED DOUGH, RICE AND BEANS PLATE, or FLATBREAD. Then a sentence appears, and you tap which of the five factors it belongs to.
How to play
- Curious, not disgusted.
- Ask, do not assume.
- No ranking.
- Nobody has to be the expert on their own background.
Done
The ones to study:
Worth knowing by heart:
- People all over the world solved the same food problems with what grew near them. Difference in food is history, not ranking.
- "Because it is their tradition" does not answer the why-here question. What grew there, who moved there, or what got traded there?
