Reviews Lesson 2.11, Lesson 2.12, Lesson 2.18, Lesson 2.16. Reviews the math in Lessons 2.11 and 2.12 (Round 1: every number is from Handout 02.11 Parts B, C, and D and Handout 02.12 Parts B, C, and D) and the percent return formula from Lesson 2.18 with the Gilded Age Market's prices, plus the two diversification sums from the Lesson 2.16 do now (Round 2: from Handout 02.18 Part A, Part B and Part C, Handout 02.16, and the price table on page 2 of the kit: RAIL 50 in 1870 and 30 in 1873, RAIL 70 in 1928 and 10 in 1932, STEEL 90 in 1928 and 25 in 1932, the safe ledger at $1,268 and the one-company ledger at $200 in 1932). Use Round 1 as review the day before the Money Basics Quiz (item 11 is interest math) and Round 2 as the do now of Lesson 2.19 Day 2, when every student needs a correct percent return for the Investor Report. Round 2 gives away nothing before Lesson 2.18: it uses the 1928 peak and the 1932 bottom, so do not play it before Round 8 is on the board. a student who wants to compute can play with the clock off. Grade 6 plays the one-year rows only in Round 1 and the round-number items in Round 2 (start $100 and end $120, the two diversification sums, and the bottom-of-the-fraction card). The clock is set for a read and recognize pace, not a compute pace.
